Public Accountant

Overview

A model will design an audit approach that reads well and would never survive review: a sample that tests the wrong assertion, a control it calls effective without evidence, a materiality call set where it is convenient. Sign-off on that is how findings get missed, and a public accountant like you is who prevents it.

As a Public Accountant you'll evaluate AI on audit, assurance, and public accounting standards, check the work against the current framework, and write the answer a careful CPA would stand behind.

What you’ll actually do

• Draft prompts that probe audit procedures, assertions, sampling, and materiality across engagements.
• Review AI output for weak evidence, wrong assertions, misapplied standards, and unsupported conclusions, and rate the reasoning.
• Write the correct approach when the model falls short, tied back to the standards.

What we look for

• Public accounting experience: audit, assurance, or tax.
• Comfort with GAAP and GAAS and tracing a conclusion to its evidence.
• Clear written English: your explanations are the training signal.
• No degree required. We care about what you can do, not where you learned it.

Compensation

Up to $75 – $125+/hr depending on task difficulty and specialization. Many contributors add $10k–$100k+ a year; some make it their full-time income.
