Russian Specialist

Global Remote Contract Listed 31 Aug 2026

$25 – $40/hour

About this role

Overview

Russian trips AI on structure it cannot fake: six cases, verb aspect, and agreement that has to hold across a whole sentence. It also misses when ty or vy is called for and reaches for wording that parses but reads plainly translated, which is exactly what a native speaker notices.

As a Russian Expert, you'll judge and correct AI output in Russian, teaching models to write the way people actually speak and write it.

What you’ll actually do

  • Assess translations between English and Russian for accuracy, flow, and register.
  • Rate and rank model output in Russian, flagging broken cases, wrong aspect, and misjudged formality.
  • Rewrite what falls short so it reads as native Russian, not a gloss.

Roles this fits

Common backgrounds: Russian Linguist, Bilingual Reviewer, Localization Specialist.

What we look for

  • Native or near-native fluency in Russian.
  • A firm grip on case, aspect, and the ty versus vy distinction.
  • Clear written English: your explanations are the training signal.
  • No degree required. We care about what you can do, not where you learned it.
