About the Role

Mercor is hiring experienced Mechanical Engineers to help evaluate and improve cutting-edge AI systems. In this role, you'll evaluate AI-generated mechanical engineering content and workflows, leveraging your real-world expertise in designing tools, machines, and mechanical systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate AI-generated mechanical designs, technical drawings, system specifications, and other engineering artifacts for quality and accuracy.
• Compare AI-generated responses head-to-head based on engineering rigor, design soundness, and specification precision.
• Review mechanical engineering scenarios involving equipment design, system troubleshooting, and specification compliance and provide expert feedback. Required Qualifications
• 4+ years of experience as a Mechanical Engineer, Mechanical Design Engineer, Product Engineer, Project Engineer, Test Engineer, or another closely related mechanical engineering role.
• Experience designing, evaluating, or maintaining mechanical products, equipment, or systems, including interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
• Ability to commit 20+ hours per week.
• Strong written English communication skills. Additional Information
• Start date: Immediate
• Duration: Approximately 4–6 weeks
• Payment: task-based (payment upon first task approval). Experts who complete their first task within the required timeline will then be qualified to be paid hourly for the remainder of the project.
